SEO basics for small businesses
Five things to do so clients can find you in search, without an agency budget.
SEO often looks like black magic. But for a local business, most of the result comes from simple things you can do in a few days.
1. A separate page for each service
People search for “teeth cleaning in Lviv”, not “our services”. Every important service deserves its own page with a clear heading, a description and prices.
2. Page titles and descriptions
The title and meta description are what people see in search results. Write them for humans: what you offer, where, and why they should click on you.
3. A Google Maps profile
For a local business this often matters more than the website. Fill in the address, opening hours and photos, and reply to reviews.
4. Speed and mobile version
Most searches happen on a phone. If your site is slow or awkward on mobile, search engines will notice.
5. Useful content
Answering clients’ questions in articles or an FAQ helps you show up for dozens of extra search queries.
SEO is a marathon. The first results take a few months, but they add up — unlike ads, which vanish the moment the budget runs out.
