Landing page or multi-page website
How to choose a website format for the job rather than the trend, and when to start with a single page.
A landing page and a multi-page website solve different problems. Picking the wrong one means either wasted budget or a site that cannot hold everything your clients need.
When a landing page is enough
- You have one service or one product, and the whole story fits into a single scroll.
- You are testing an idea and want to find out quickly whether there is demand.
- The site supports an ad campaign with one clear action: send an enquiry.
When you need a full website
- You offer several services, and each deserves its own page with prices and details.
- Search traffic matters to you: one page cannot rank well for dozens of queries.
- You have a team, case studies and a blog — content that builds trust over time.
The middle path
You can start with a landing page and grow into a multi-page site later. The key is to lay down the structure and design system from day one, so you don’t have to rebuild everything.
Name the one action a visitor should take. If there is only one, start with a landing page. If there are several, you need a website.
